The Cycle to Work scheme is a government initiative based around encouraging people to ride bikes to work as a way to promote healthier lifestyles and cut pollution. It enables employers to provide employees with bikes, safety equipment and accessories as a tax free benefit. Employees are issued vouchers or certificates that can be spent on bikes and accessories, which are then paid back via installments taken directly from their wage before tax. Tax and National Insurance contributions are then worked out from a lower gross wage, enabling the employee to save up 42% of RRP on the purchase of bikes and accessories.
Most employers offer vouchers of up to £1000 to be spent on bikes, safety equipment and accessories such helmets, clothing, lights, locks, mudguards and bags. We accept vouchers from all the major Cycle to Work schemes, including vouchers for other stores. If you need a quote, visit the store or call us on 01924 311234 and we will provide a quote that you can use to apply for a certificate through your cycle scheme provider. If you already have a voucher, you can redeem it in store just like any other purchase. Feel free to get in touch with us if you have any questions about whether we can take your voucher, or about the Cycle to Work scheme in general.
